Unfortunately, like other businesses, we have the occasional late arrival or no-show appointment. We do try and manage these from impacting those who have arrived on time for their appointment; it has a negative impact on the medical team. Often there are cases being treated in hospital and the staff attempts to schedule their day to ensure that they can meet the needs of those patients.l Arriving late or not showing at all impacts on their ability to manage treatments for these pets. As a result, we do have a few rules and guidelines that the staff work with in terms of late arrivals and no-shows.
Missed Appointment Policy
At ABC Pet clinic, your scheduled appointment time is reserved exclusively for you and your pet. ABC Pet clinic does not overbook appointment times. We believe optimal veterinary care can be provided only if we have enough set-aside to adequately examine and diagnose your pet, then discuss treatment options in detail with you. We will make every effort tot accomadte yor scheduling needs. In return, we ask that you help us by keeping your scheduled appointment, arriving on time, and notifying us a minimum four (4) business hours in advance if you are unable to do so. When ABC Pet Clinic receives advanced notice of cancellations, we are able to avoid misspent employee time and more importantly, we are able to accommodate other patients needing care. Failure to comply with this policy will necessitate the assessment of the following fees:
Third missed appointment- You will receive a phone call informing you that you have now missed three appointments and you have been charged another Missed Appointment Fee ($50.00). You will also be seen on a work-in-basis only and no longer be able to schedule appointments.
Hospital In-Patient Cancellation Policy (Surgeries, Dentals, etc.)
Because we must limit the number of in-patient procedure scheduled each day, ABC Pet Clinic reserves the right to charge a $75.00 Policy Non-Compliance Fee for any hospital in-patient appointment not canceled a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
Late Arrivals Policy
Appointments involving clients arriving 10 minutes late will be considered "missed Appointment" and will need to be rescheduled.
