Diagnostic Imaging
At ABC Pet clinic we offer digital X-rays which are interpreted within minutes of having the exposure taken. A radiologist consultation is included with all Xrays and are reviewed by Bay Area Veterinary Imaging Inc. (based out of Walnut Creek) with interpretation results available usually the same day or following day.
If your pet is in need of an ultrasound we would coordinate with a board-certified radiologist to assist us in diagnosing your pet right here at our clinic. Some reasons why your pet might be advised to have xrays or an ultrasound are the following:
- Abnormal bloodwork or xrays
- Vomiting or diarrhea that has lasted for a long time
- Weight loss with no change in eating habits
- Chronic infections
- Lack of appetite
- Change in urinary habits
- Recheck on previous problem
- Cancer staging
- Fluid in chest or abdomen
- Pregnancy
